It is a Force Sensor / Pressure Sensor Resistor with a Square area of 38.1 mm, this resistor has a square 1.75 x 1.5″ sensing area. The Force sensor varies its resistance depending on the pressure applied to its sensing area in a relation like Larger the force, lower the resistance, and when there is no pressure applied on the sensor it will have a resistance larger than 1MΩ. This Force Sensor can sense an applied force anywhere in the range of 100g-10kg.
to mount the Force sensor there is a peel and stick type rubber backing on the opposite side of the sensing area. this sensor is simple to set up and has a great application for sensing pressure but can’t be used as a scale. This force sensor can easily be interfaced with any kind of Microcontrollers, Arduino Boards, or Raspberry Pi, etc. using an Analog to Digital Converter (ADC).
