Atal Tinkering Labs Setup, Training & Maintenance:
ATL (Atal Tinkering Lab) is a form of STEM Lab (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths). It is meant for students to have practical experience & knowledge on various STEM topics like robotics, programming, electronics, 3D printing, etc.
ATL is an abbreviation for ‘Atal Tinkering Lab’. This is a STEM Lab package set up by Niti Aayog, the government of India, under the ‘Atal Innovation Mission’. Atal Labs are meant for schools. The vision of Atal Labs is to ‘cultivate 1 million children in India as neoteric innovators. Hence, the think tank of India, NITI Aayog, has established a network of ‘Atal Tinkering Labs’ (ATL) with the objective to endorse STEM system of education, by cultivating curiosity, creativity, and imagination in the young India.
Schools (Grades VI – X) that come under the central/state government, local bodies (municipality/Nagar Nigam), private trusts/society, or the tribal/social welfare department can apply for setting up ATLs in their campus. The criteria and curriculum are set as per Niti Aayog’s ATL curriculum.
By the end of 2022, Niti Aayog has halted/ stopped giving new ATL approval. But for the schools which already have ATL, they can continue to run their ATL labs & continue to take the benefit of ATL schemes.

Yes, ‘High Clouds’ regularly conducts Atal / STEM workshops and seminars at various schools.
Yes. ‘High Clouds’ occasionally organizes STEM related competitions. It may involve one school or may also involve multiple schools (interschool competition). Individuals may also participate if the school(s) agrees to that. We also organize such competitions in clubs/societies, etc. Participants get a ‘participation certificate’ & the winners get awards & certificate.
Typically, there are 4 packages in the ATL. And each of these packages comprise of many different components.
₹ 20.00 lakh in total – A one-time establishment charge of up to ₹ 10.00 lakh was provided for each ATL in the first year for instruments, prototyping equipment like do-it-yourself kits, 3D printer, electronic tools, etc.
The remaining ₹ 10.00 lakh was provided over a maximum period of 5 years for operating the ATL, maintenance of equipment, purchase of consumables, organizing popular science lecture series, innovation events, scientific activities, and competitions, and for payment of honorariums to the faculty and mentors involved.
3D Printing Services / 3D Designing Services:
In India, we (High Clouds) are one of the newest 3D printing service providers in the market. We will make/manufacture customizable 3D prints for you & deliver it to your address. Currently, we are only serving in India & also in Nepal.
As of now, we are only offering planar FDM 3D Printing Services. FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) can be done with multiple types of filaments/materials as well. And that’s one of the advantages of FDM over other techniques (such as SLA, SLS). There is also nonplanar FDM 3D printing but that’s doesn’t make a whole lot of difference in the final product that is 3D printed. As of now, we are not offering non-planar 3D printing.
Yes ofcourse. You can submit to us any kind 3D design file, be it stl, obj, or any other format, & we will 3D print it and deliver it to your specified address. Just make sure to describe the size, dimensions, etc. Make sure to communicate to us before you place any order on our website.
If you already know how to slice your 3D design, its well and good. Submit your gcode file to us & we will 3D print it. But remember that slicing is different for different 3D printer. So, make sure to speak with us before slicing your design. Because you will have to slice your 3D design according to the 3D Printer that we (High Clouds) have. Currently we have Creality CR-10 at our office but we are soon increasing our inventory. So, make sure to speak with us first.
Yes, we can. We not only provide 3D Printing services but also provide CAD / 3D-designing services. And since this service does not involve any physical objects, we can take orders from outside India as well. We will make a 3D CAD model for you (according to your specified formats, like stl/ obj, etc).
You can use a 3D CAD model for a variety of purposes like 3D NFT, 3D Printing, Game Designing, arts, architecture, or more.
